My guest today is in Pasadena, California and her name is Julie Winkle Giulioni. Julie is the author of ‘Promotions Are So Yesterday: Redefine Career Development, Help Employees Thrive’ and the co-author of the international bestseller, ‘Help Them Grow or Watch Them Go’. Julie is also named by Inc. Magazine as a Top 100 Leadership Speaker and in this conversation, we talk about Julie’s career and how every single person alive today can thrive in their own career.
We talk in detail about Julie's own career, her favourite roles, and what made her 'trade in the illusion of security for the illusion of freedom' and venture out on her own.
The underlying theme of her latest book 'Promotions are so yesterday' is so key in 2022 and beyond. We talk about how the idea for this book came about, and the answer is quite personal.
