118. Selena Rezvani: Quick Confidence and How to be Authentic, Boost Connections, and Make Bold Bets on Yourself
We are in for such a treat! My guest today is Selena Rezwani, Leadership Speaker and 3x author. Her advice has been featured in Forbes, LA Times, Washington Post, Oprah.com, Thinkers 50 and has recently written her book Quick Confidence: Be Authentic, Boost Connections, and Make Bold Bets on Yourself, and is all about hands-on, bite sized strategies for improving your confidence. We will learn about Selena and her career path and walk away with her favourite tips on quick confidence when we need it the most.
In this epsiode we talk about Selena's early career where she wore two hats at various phases: consultant with companies like Deloitte & Great Place to Work, and journalist at NPR and Washington Post.
Selena also shares what it was like going out there on her own 6 years ago. Making that bold move and leaving behind the comfort and cushion of big names, what was that like?
And what about Selena's OWN quick confidence? Has she always had it, or did she have to work for/at it, and what helped her to get more confident, especially when the stages got bigger and shinier? Selena dishes it all, including her favourite frameworks she uses right before an important meeting.
We also talk about her book, why she thinks it's needed and the journey to getting it published.
